As we continue to expand our service reach throughout the Northeast, we are seeking energetic and responsible team members to join the company to help take our clients’ worry away when disaster strikes. MacFawn Fire & Flood Restoration is currently interviewing for a Crew Chief/Leader helping service our clients in their time of need. Crew Chief/Leaders will be responsible for their own crew of 1-3 restoration technicians, leading project tasks and safety on multiple water, fire, mold and biohazard type projects. This opportunity is based out of the Albany, NY office.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Supervise assigned field technicians to ensure team productivity and proper practices are being followed
  • Responding to both emergency and non-emergency projects as necessary
  • Participate in the emergency on-call rotation
  • Perform project tasks such as
  • Water extraction and drying equipment set up
  • Demolition and cleaning
  • Contents inventory and pack-out
  • Fire damage board up and cleaning services
  • Biohazard clean up as applicable
  • Other restoration and cleaning project tasks as necessary
  • Quality Control
  • Workmanship quality
  • Keeping a respectable jobsite appearance
  • Following of applicable standards (IICRC) and state and locals laws
  • Following MacFawn Protocols
  • Jobsite Safety
  • Technicians and subcontractors abiding by OSHA and MacFawn safety standards
  • Assure understanding and completion work scopes
  • Make sure crew understand the work scope for scheduled projects and that the scope is being completed entirely
  • Documentation of job sites as needed
  • Photos/Measurements/Moisture readings/Scoping/Daily Notes/Sign in sheets/Etc…
  • Customer communication
  • Daily check ins with Project Manager or Field Supervisor
  • Other restoration or construction related tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Possess sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
  • Proficient in technology (phone applications and email)
  • 2+ years property restoration and/or construction experience
  • Ability to read, understand and execute scopes of work
  • Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks with little or no supervision
  • Ability to identify potential job site hazards
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends on a rotating on-call schedule
  • Ability to travel to job sites
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sustain long periods of standing, walking, bending and kneeling
  • Possess IICRC certifications (Preferred, not required; Pay scale increase available based on IICRC certifications held)
  • Valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 – $24.00 per year
